Death of the Benefit Recipient


In the event of a benefit recipient's death, the representative may not continue to collect his/her fee.  However, he/she may continue collecting the fee from the widow or widower of a deceased recipient if all the following conditions are met:

  1. The benefit recipient died as a result of the work injury for which the claim was submitted.
  2. The death occurred during the first year of receiving the benefit.
  3. At the time of concluding the agreement, the widow or widower signed as a guarantor for payment of the fee.
